hemba Lethu Clinic is situated in Helen Joseph Hospital in Johannesburg, and treats HIV, AIDS and TB patients. The clinic has initiated over 23 000 patients onto the Anti-Retroviral programme. The staff at the clinic attend to more than 600 patients per day. Right ePharmacy has built an integrated pharmacy and patient management system to streamline the clinics’ operations. The programme was implemented in 2012 to ensure that patient and prescription data flowed seamlessly between different platforms and
technology systems. The clinic is outfitted with an in-pharmacy automation solution which serves the four dispensing windows at the front of the pharmacy. In addition to this technology, the first PDU was tested at this site and still serves patients on chronic medication.
